Fruitvale Senior Center

Come to Lyman Hall on Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm for fellowship. This warm and caring bunch is always ready to welcome one more into their fold for wide range of activities. Co-sponsored by the Oakland Unified School District and the Pleasant Valley Adult School.

Community Outreach Pantry for Emergencies (C.O.P.E.)

From 11 am to noon on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, we distribute food to neighbors in need. Come to feed your family, or to lend a hand. November and December distributions are moved to the first and third Saturdays to accommodate holiday celebrations.

Clothing Closet

Clothing is available during COPE’s distribution, during the Senior center and after Sunday Worship Celebrations in Lyman Hall.  We accept clothing donations. Simply hang them up on the racks in Lyman Hall, but during those times only. 

Community Events

We sponsor events each year, including a Thanksgiving Dinner, Winter Solstice Celebration, and participate in local festivals.

Youth activities develop around the interest of the youth present.  Interested in getting involved, volunteering, or have ideas? Talk to Pastor Abby.

Art in the Attic

A developing community of artists rent studios on our third floor.  This beautiful space begs to be loved and will inspire creative work.
